Bio for Gwendolyn E. Monroe aka: Gwen Monroe, G. E. Monroe & ‘meyjerom’
Gwendolyn Elaine Vaughn Monroe was born in Kansas City, Missouri, as the fifth child, to the union of Leo M. Vaughn Sr. and Hattie L. Jones Vaughn.
Gwen retired in 1993, after 21 years, from the U.S. Army as an Officer. She continues to hold the rank of Major, and immediately joined God’s Army with a spiritual assignment to teach youth and young Christians to pray.
Her first book entitled “Yeah, I P.O.G.A.D. - don’t you?” was released in 2001 to ignite the enthusiasm for prayer in youth and young Christians in God’s Kingdom and she released her first CD in January 2009. Her ever growing passion for both prayer and worship continues to strengthen her as she focuses on her ‘dVyne’ call to Praise, Pray and Prophesy to and for Almighty Father God.
Gwen actively attends Trinity Chapel of Powder Springs, Georgia, under the pastorate of Pastor Jason and Pastor Sarah Bolin. She actively serves as an intercessor at her local church; exercising her faith while teaching at various conferences/crusades throughout the country and enjoys working in the Media Center on Trinity’s campus.
Her personal prayer is ‘to remain humble and teachable’ and believes that what you don’t know, will hurt you. She often says she could be a professional student because of her desire to continue learning and the importance education has played in her life. Gwen has two Associates degrees – Business Administration and Graphic Design; a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and plans to pursue her Doctorate.
She is the Artistic Visual Officer and Founder of SAYLAH Ministries International. Under this ministry umbrella, Gwen fulfills her assignment to assist the Kingdom of God with ‘artistic words’ via dVyne dTaels, the graphic design branch; with ‘published words’ via Monroe House Publishing, the publishing branch; and with ‘spoken words’ via Care2Share, the teaching platform from which she shares God’s Revelations 4 Kingdom Living.
Her husband of 29 years, Louis E. Monroe Jr., calls her a virtuous woman and her sons Lionel E. (26) and LeRahn E. (22) call her a great mother and a great cook. Others have referred her as a prophetic psalmist, evangelist and teacher; but Gwen sees herself as a worshipping warrior in God’s Army, who vehemently strives to live her foundational life scripture – “A word fitly spoken and in due season is like apples of gold in settings of silver.” Proverbs 25:11 [AMP]
